How to live an enlightened life? Surrender

How to live an enlightened life? Surrender

We are all able to understand this: We are currently identifying as an identity made up by our mind. There is an awareness of this identity, otherwise we wouldn't be able to tell we identify as this identity. Then there is us, the witness of the awareness. Completely impersonal, divine nothingness/silence/unspeakable.

We are able to experience this directly, very simply, we are able to be and recognize our true self. What is stopping us from living as this? Mistrust. We are not able to trust ourselves, our true selves. We are so deep in the habit of thinking with the mind, that although we experience this great freedom and truth, we go back to the mind because it says "No, you can't live like this. How will you live life without me? I am necessary" but these are all just thoughts that are being perceived as well.

The psychological-mind can't exist without you (emotions, thoughts, sensations) yet you can exist without the psychological-mind. Who is it that is greater? Who is it that depends on who? The answer is obviously. YOU, the awareness in which the mind arises, is much, much greater. Way beyond. Not even in the same dimension. The way to live in this enlightened state, our true, natural state, is to completely surrender the mind. Have full trust that life (your self) will take care of life (your self). You are the universe it self, trust in the universe to take care of it self!

So your mind might be thinking "Yea but how am I going to work? how am I going to interact with people with no mind?" The answer is presence. You will actually be able to work and interact so much better, because instead of trying to be something you are not, you will just be your self. Being your self, being enlightened does not mean you sit still and do absolutely nothing. Life continues. You are simply now aware of what you truly are.

You say "Why can't I stop thinking about death", well, first of all, it is not you thinking these thoughts. You are only perceiving them. If you are the one perceiving the thoughts, how can you be the one creating them? It is impossible. You are not the thoughts nor the thinker of them, you are merely perceiving them. Do not take these thoughts to be you. It is simply not true.

You still are not able to trust life. Let us look at some examples like Jesus Christ, and Buddha. They were doing this exact thing I am telling you to do. Be aware of your self and trust. Even though they were presumably doing nothing, and only being aware of themselves, they had innumerable devotees, and are still growing in popularity, all the while influencing the world and existence of this universe completely.

So, how did they do this by just being aware of themselves? When you are aware of your self as the awareness, the universe automatically does its thing through your vessel. You stop thinking, stop overanalyzing, stop taking things personally, and suddenly the impersonal Brahman is you. The impersonal Brahman lives this life now, and you can trust that The Universe, Brahman itself knows how to live much, much better than your limited consciousness as an ego. You are Brahman.

Brahman knows how to behave and knows everything there is to know at ANY MOMENT, something you only dream of ever being able to do. It knows SPONTANEOUSLY everything that is to be known, no thinking, no analyzing required. It simply knows and does. How does it do that? How can I trust that this will actually work? These are all questions coming from the egoic-mind, the answer is that the egoic-mind won't ever be able to fathom the highest intelligence of the universe.

There is no answer to be given to the mind when it asks "How can I trust" because this itself is an illusion. There is a thought arising in awareness saying "How can I trust" and you identify it as you, because a really strong fear is attached to it, you let go of your self, and identify as this thought out of habit. What if you simply continue witnessing the awareness? Paying no importance to thoughts, as all this time you were giving importance and identifying as thoughts, and look how much suffering it brought you. It brought you nothing but pain, suffering, judgement, greed, hate. Let go of this, be your self. You can't know the universe. You can only be it. A higher intelligence is operating at all times, and that higher intelligence is you. Simply drop all other labels, and be thy self. Enjoy existence, self.
