Thoughts, emotions and sensations APPEAR to cloud clarity, but it is not true.

Updated: Aug 19, 2020

Thoughts, emotions and sensations APPEAR to cloud clarity, but it is not true. You are clarity itself. You just believe the thought, emotion or sensation that claims "I don't have clarity right now" or "Something feels off" etc.

"I had an enlightening experience but then, it got out of hand. It got confusing"

Can you tell me what exactly "got out of hand"? Because enlightenment doesn't go "out of hand", you must have started identifying with thoughts, emotions or sensations appearing in consciousness again. That is normal, it happens.

We awaken, and then we appear to forget we are awareness, we get another glimpse, appear to have lost it again, and then remember again, at some point you have the necessary wisdom to be able to be consistently be aware of being aware. Confusion can only happen in the realm of the mind. When there is silence, how can there be confusion coexisting with silence? Until some thought appears to say "This is confusing" and is believed in nothing is confusing.

Confusion appears. There is an awareness of appearing confusion. Is that which is aware of confusion, itself confused? You are able to be aware even of the awareness of the confusion. In this place of seeing in which you are aware of awareness, is there anything confused? Can that EVER be confused? It is a state beyond confusion. It is yourself. You can't be confused about what you truly are. The personal identity we believe ourselves to be can be confused. That which you truly are is never confused. It is that in which thoughts, feelings and sensations of confusion (or anything else) appear and are perceived.

Notice that all thoughts, emotions, sensations and effects in consciousness are coming and going. None of them are original to your nature, so don't worry, none of it stays. Don't give any importance to temporary appearances. They all come and will go, but what is that which is witnessing the coming and going but remains here? That unchanging fact of ourselves which is our true nature, pure awareness, there the attention must rest Instead of paying attention to thoughts, emotions and sensations by perpetuating these temporary appearances by commenting on them and giving them importance, you should pay attention to that silent awareness which is ever-present and is aware of all appearances but is detached and is not involved in any of them.

Instead of paying attention to thoughts, emotions and sensations by perpetuating these temporary appearances by commenting on them and giving them importance, you should pay attention to that silent awareness which is ever-present and is aware of all appearances but is detached and is not involved in any of them.

Ideally, if there are thoughts, emotions or sensations appearing and are asking for your attention, simply do not have interest and remain as the awareness in which they appear. Appearances can't affect you unless you believe them to have any importance. You are not powerless in front of appearances, you are literally the infinite which is perceiving these coming and going phenomenon. They are not something you are to be afraid of. You have complete power over them. You must simply stay aware of being aware. In that place you don't even notice they exist.

If the attention drifts to any thought, emotion, sensation or effect in consciousness, simply know it is the mind luring you back into unconsciousness and identification with the mind-realm, gently shift your attention towards being aware of being aware. You must be VERY consistent with this, this should be literally your life. All thoughts, emotions and sensations, anything that appears within you, It is just the mind trying to lure you back into bullshit and unconsciousness. FUCK THAT. See past this illusion that continues to appear before you, that great intelligence, and realize that what you are is NOT that which "finds itself longing for the past" but THAT IN WHICH "finds itself longing for the past" appears.
